QUALITY RESOURCES
At POD, we're confident you'll be satisfied with our products. One of the reasons is that we use only the highest quality materials from renowned suppliers within the EU. Our partners, with whom we have a long relationship are a trusted source due to their continuous stability in material manufacturing as well as high quality standards.
IN-HOUSE TOOLING
For the variety of product implemented in our production, our dedicated and experienced team of engineers design tooling for optimal production and is involved in its production as well as utilization. In house tool production makes us cost efficient and shortens the time for implementing new products.
MANUFACTURING
In production we use CNC technology. For spring manufacturing we use 3D CNC bending technology, semi-automatic production lines as well as a variety of machines dedicated for different purposes. We also posses testing machines for quality of raw material and compression / extension springs as well as fatigue testing of double torsion springs.
Component manufacturing is performed by laser and plasma cutting, machining, sheet bending, welding and final assembly if necessary.
SURFACE TREATMENT
In order to increase spring durability, surface treatment is performed by shot peening. A process that generates plastic deformation on the surface of the material. Result is extended service life of a component due to resistance to fatigue and cracks development.
For components, in case of demand for smoother surface with fewer physical imperfections and flaws, we use sand blasting.
SURFACE PROTECTION
It is a critical stage in the production process which includes final control of manufactured products before adding protection and afterwards visual inspection. Within this phase final packaging and labelling is included and goods are being forwarded to logistics, ready to be delivered.
Processes of surface protection include in house powder coating or galvanizing in cooperation. Product marking is also available by printing desired logo.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT
At POD, we hold ourselves to the highest standard and believe in full transparency within our team and with our customers. For that reason, our production process includes many rigorous practices and procedures to ensure the end result is the best it can possibly be.
Project Name: Next Generation Double Torsion Springs
The project is implemented within the Call for Proposals "Strengthening Strategic Partnerships for Innovation in the Industrial Transition Process" ref. code IP.1.1.03, in which the Ministry of Regional Development and the European Union acts as the Managing Authority, and the Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation and Investments - HAMAG-BICRO acts as the Intermediate Body for the Implementation of Operations (PTPO). The project is implemented within the framework of the Integrated Territorial Programme for the period 2021-2027, Priority I - Industrial Transition of Croatian Regions.

Project Goal: The "Next Generation Double Torsion Springs" project aims to develop and implement innovative OptiFlex and Duraflex springs in accordance with the latest Industry 4.0 standards, which includes the implementation of advanced production technologies, automation and digitalization through the development of a new production line.
Brief description of the activity: The project is being implemented in a research consortium of three SMEs (POD doo ENSO doo, Phoenix doo). The Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek will participate in the project as a collaborator and will conduct field testing of innovative products. Five activities are planned in the project: Industrial research for the purpose of product development, experimental product development, feasibility study, project management and promotion and visibility. Industrial research includes TRL 2, TRL 3 and TRL 4. Experimental research includes TRL 5, TRL 6, TRL 7 and TRL 8.
Total project value: 1,070,605.76 EUR
Eligible Project costs: 1,017,995.15 EUR
EU share in financing: 666,581.43 EUR
Implementation period: 01.01.2025. – 31.12.2027.
